CLEVELAND HEIGHTS, Ohio March 31 2013– Authorities are holding a security officer while investigating the death of a 25-year-old woman who was shot in the head during a scuffle at an IHOP overnight.
While being escorted out of the building, an altercation broke out at the front entrance of the restaurant and the security officer was knocked to the ground and his weapon discharged.
Police want to know why the guard had his handgun out of the holster.
Nadia Williams, 25, of Cleveland was fatally shot in the head.
Williams was transported to University Hospital where she was pronounced dead.
The security guard and three other women involved were taken into custody and transported to the Bedford Police Department.
The investigation is on-going and charges are pending according to a police officer.
