The 24-year veteran of the one man police force was fired following a five to zero vote by town council.
Frith is also relieved of his duties as Town Manager and Utilities Supervisor.
No reason was given.
A worker at the town hall could not comment more but did say an auxiliary officer is being used until the town can decide its next move.
The next town council meeting is set for August 13.
