MIDDLETOWN PA July 31 2013 — A New York City man is facing robbery and assault charges after he allegedly stole clothing from a Sesame Place gift shop, then beat up three park security guards.
Middletown police say that Milton Roman, 23, of Brooklyn, shoplifted several pieces of clothing from the Middletown theme park Friday afternoon. When security confronted him, he took off running, police said.
Security stopped Roman just outside the park’s automatic ticket booth, where he and the guards reportedly got into a tussle. One guard reportedly had an elbow injury, another lost a tooth and the third reported knee and hand injuries, police said.
Roman was arraigned Friday before Middletown District Judge John Kelly Jr. on robbery, retail theft, three counts of simple assault, harassment and related charges. He was sent to Bucks County prison in lieu of 10 percent of $50,000 bail.
