Roman denied the allegations, and was subjected to a polygraph examination "which resulted in no decision … indicating no truthful or untruthful determination," court records show.
Roman admitted in two recorded conversations with his wifeon June 27 the allegations were true and provided details that "only an active participant would know," police said.
Roman is a 19-year veteran of the Goodyear Police Department. He has worked in the Investigations Division of the department since 2006, according to the police department.
Lisa Kutis of the Goodyear Police Department said Roman has been on unpaid administrative leave since May 10 when police became aware of the alleged crimes. She said the investigation continues.
