Las Vegas NV July 7 2013 On July 5, 2013 at approximately 3:35 a.m. LVMPD patrol officers responded to a night club located within a shopping center in the 2700 block of South Maryland Parkway to investigate a reported disturbance. Initial information indicated two subjects involved in a fight inside of the club had been escorted into the parking lot by club security personnel.
As arriving officers were contacting club management they heard several gunshots from the parking lot, and observed numerous patrons fleeing both on foot and in vehicles. The officers responded to the area and located two victims, a male and a female, suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.
Both victims were transported to the Sunrise Trauma Center where the male was pronounced deceased. A short time later a second female victim arrived at the Sunrise Trauma Center by private conveyance, stating she had also been shot in the parking lot during the incident.
Both female victims suffered non-life threatening injuries. The suspects in this crime are described only as two black male adults. The identity of the deceased and the exact cause and manner of death will be released by the Clark County Coroner’s Office. The investigation into this crime remains ongoing.
