The district attorney filed theft charges against Timothy Dzugan of Tarentum. Dzugan is also the codes enforcement officer in Tarentum Borough.
Detectives charged him with submitting invoices for warrants he said he served. The district attorney said many of the warrants were not valid. The total amount they said he stole was more than $2,700.
“I was shocked that this came out,” said Mayor Carl Magnetta of Tarentum. “He participates and helps us out with the drug raids, Timmy is very active in the community, so, I hate to see this happen.”
Dzugan is being charged by summons, which means he will receive notice of his charges in the mail. He has been placed on administrative leave from his job as codes enforcement officer in Tarentum.
