FREDERICKSBURG, VA June 2 2013 Fredericksburg police arrested the parents of a toddler found wandering around in a parking lot alone.
Officers responded to the Hospitality House at 2801 Plank Road around 5:40 a.m. Thursday. A 2-year-old, wearing only a diaper, was found by a guest and handed to hotel security.
Officers were unable to find the parents at the hotel, so the 2-year-old was brought to Child Protective Services.
Police say the father, 31-year-old James Seth Brown, returned to the area of the hotel around 11:30 a.m. and accompanied police to headquarters. Police were able to contact the mother, Courtney Love Brown, in Spotsylvania around 12:45 p.m.
Both parents are charged with felony child neglect.
