Springfield Mall security reported that a man was seen leaving Target without paying for various items. Officers apprehended the man and delivered him to the Springfield Police Department, according to reports. Police say that the man was in possession of narcotics when search. He is charged with taking $209 in merchandise from the store.
According to Target Security, a man was seen leaving the Baltimore Pike store without paying for a number of DVDs. Officers checked the area but could not find the unknown man. The items are valued at $100.
Target Security in the Springfield Mall reported that they had a male in custody for Retail Theft at the store. According to reports, Springfield police took the individual into custody and transported him to the Springfield Police Station. The person was cited with retail theft for taking $39.99 worth of merchandise from the store and was later released, police say.
Police reports did not identify the shoplifters.
