MOUNT SINAI, N.Y .May 2 2013 — A substitute teacher on Long Island has been arrested on charges he had a sexual relationship with a 16-year-old student.Suffolk County Police say 38-year-old Allan Concepcion was arrested Tuesday at his home in Mount Sinai on charges of rape and endangering the welfare of a child. He's due to be arraigned Wednesday in First District Court in Central Islip. It wasn't clear if he had a lawyer.
Police say Concepcion is a substitute teacher and a junior varsity volleyball coach at Eastport South Manor High School. He also served as a substitute teacher and gymnastics coach at the Hampton Bays Middle School.
