St. Francisville LA April 7 2013 A state district judge has sentenced a former Louisiana State Penitentiary security captain to three years in prison on a felony charge of carnal knowledge of a juvenile.
The judge sentenced 31-year-old Thomas D. Sharp to a five-year prison term at hard labor but suspended two years of the sentence and placed him on probation for five years.
The investigation into Sharp's case began after a 15-year-old girl who lived in an employee housing area unexpectedly gave birth.
