Agnew said deputies set up a hidden camera inside Company 5 Firehouse after firefighters reported money missing.
“The video clearly shows Gordon entering the locked door of the office and then rifling through drawers and pocketing two envelopes later determined to contain cash and change from drink sales,” the email from the sheriff’s office read. “Gordon was wearing rubber gloves as he was searching through the office.”
Once confronted with the video, deputies said Gordon admitted to stealing $200 on March 29 and $1300 on March 19. Deputies charged Gordon with a third theft of $20.
Gordon, who was released on an unsecured bond, is due back in court April 8.
