A new survey released Wednesday found that marijuana continues to be the most popular illicit drug for many teens. The results were a part of the National Institute on Drug Abuse's annual "Monitoring the Future" report.
Researchers surveyed more than 45,000 eighth, 10th and 12th grade students to reach their conclusion.More of them said they have used marijuana in the past year than any other illegal drug.
Also, for the first time, the survey asked teens about bath salts, which have been blamed recently for dozens of episodes of bizarre, violent behavior. However, the survey found use of the amphetamine-like stimulant is low.
