Memphis TN Feb 19 2013 Two juveniles have been arrested after a nightclub security guard and a 16-year-old girl were shot Sunday night near the same block in Hickory Hill, according to police.
The girl was found by police about 9:41 p.m. in front of the Walmart at 2586 Hickory Hill. She was taken to Le Bonheur Children's Hospital in noncritical condition.
Around the corner on Apple Tree Drive, police found the 21-year-old security guard. He was taken to the Regional Medical Center at Memphis in noncritical condition.
The shooting began that night outside nearby Zodiac nightclub on Mt. Moriah, where in November a 15-year-old boy was shot. Gunfire started Sunday after as many as 300 people were turned away when the club reached maximum capacity, police said.
Shortly afterward, officers heard more shots at the Enclave Apartments in the area. They arrested two juveniles, but charges were unknown Monday morning.
No other injuries were reported.
An investigation is ongoing.
