Maury County TN Jan 29 2013 A Maury County commissioner was arrested this weekend after a police officer accused him of stalking.
Commissioner William Roddy of Mt. Pleasant was cited for running a stop sign and failure to show proof of insurance on Jan. 18, according to Police Chief Tommy Goetz.
Afterward, the officer who wrote the citation said Roddy lingered near his post for days, watching him.
The officer’s wife saw Roddy’s car parked near their house overnight Friday, at which point the couple personally took a warrant out, Goetz said.
Roddy was charged with stalking, but he has denied the charge on his Facebook page, which is filled with critical words for the Mt. Pleasant Police Department.
