Off duty KY trooper dies in crash www.privateofficer.com

CLARK COUNTY, KY Jan 23 2013– Crews are on the scene of a fatal accident involving a Kentucky State Police Trooper.
According to KSP, the crash happened at 7 p.m. Tuesday on Interstate 64 near the 99 mile marker, east of Winchester.
Police were alerted of the accident after calls were made to 911. When they arrived on the scene they discovered the vehicle belonged was an off-duty KSP Trooper who was killed in the wreck.
The Trooper's vehicle was the only one at the scene of the accident. It is unclear if other vehicles were involved.
Both eastbound and westbound lanes on I-64 have been shut down in the area while crews investigate.
