MYRTLE BEACH S Aug 8 2013 — Myrtle Beach police charged a Virginia man after Broadway at the Beach security guards reported he assaulted one of them as they escorted him from a club following reports he grabbed women, according to the report.
Andrew Byron Zell, 27, of Triangle, Va., was charged with third-degree assault and battery after officers were called at 1 a.m. Wednesday to 1320 Celebrity Circle for an assault call, police said.
A 47-year-old man working as a security guard told police that he received several complaints about a man grabbing women’s butts inside Revolutions, according to a police report. The man escorted Zell out of the club and during the escort the guard said Zell punched him in the back of the head.
The victim told police he was not hurt and officers arrested Zell.
