A security guard is charged with attempted murder and accused of stabbing a man on Beale Street over the weekend.
Police say Patrice Jones was at Peabody Place and Beale Street when she got into an argument with the victim.
According to police, around 11:15 Saturday night, Jones stabbed the man in the chest, threw the knife in a drainage ditch and walked away. Later that night, Jones turned herself into police.
Jones is due in court on Monday.
The victim was taken to the MED and is listed in extremely critical condition.
