HONEA PATH, SC Dec 21 2012- Three students have been expelled after a "kill list" was found at an Upstate middle school, according to a police chief.
Honea Path Police Chief David King said a piece of paper with six names on it titled "Kill List" was found ay Honea Path Middle School on Wednesday.
King said there are no criminal charges in connection to the list, but he believes three students were expelled. "We are keeping extra patrols around the school and school officials are being cautious," King said. "But right now we don't see anything that would lead us to believe or expect any violence."
Some parents of students at the school said they were told by school officials that the hit list was just a prank and not to worry about it.One parent, who said his stepdaughter's name was on the list, expressed concern that the school did not notify law enforcement or parents about the list as a matter of normal procedure.
