Madisonville KY July 6 2013 A Lake County teacher was arrested Monday in Kentucky on sex-related charges involving a 14-year-old and faces dismissal from the district.Samuel Hann, 24, a seventh-grade teacher at Gray Middle School in Groveland, faces charges of sodomy, sex with a minor, possession of matter portraying sexual performance by a minor and use of electronic communication systems to procure a minor, according to a Madisonville Police Department arrest report.
He admitted to having sex with a 14-year-old and having sexual conversations through text messaging and sending and receiving pornographic photos through cell phones with the teen, the report said.
Lake County school officials said Wednesday that the district is moving to fire Hann pending School Board approval. Hann, who has been with the district since March, didn't have any discipline issues on file with the district.
He was released from Hopkins County Jail in Madisonville, Ky., Tuesday afternoon after posting bond.
