The victim was able to subdue his alleged assailant, Charles Drake, 47, of 1789 Davidson Ave. in the Bronx, even after being stabbed twice with a screw driver in the thigh and upper arm, Yonkers police Lt. Joseph Solicito said.
Empire security officers came to the victim’s aid and also captured Zanoff Taylor, 51, of 1043 Ogden Ave. in the Bronx. Taylor acting as a lookout while Drake broke into three cars, Solicito said.
The incident happened at 2:25 a.m. Sunday at Empire at 810 Yonkers Ave. The victim was returning to his car when he spotted Drake inside it.
The victim was treated at the scene by Empress Ambulance and taken to St. Joseph’s Medical Center where he was treated and released.
Drake is charged with second-degree assault, criminal possession of burglary tools and criminal mischief. Taylor is charged with criminal facilitation.
