SACRAMENTO, CA Jan 11 2013- Child Protective Services took custody of the children of a couple after the pair were arrested during an alleged confrontation with store security officers Sunday evening.
According to Sacramento police, Telesa Pearson was stopped by security at a business on the 6300 block of Mack Road in south Sacramento a little before 6 p.m. for allegedly shoplifting. Security reported Pearson, who had a baby in her arms, resisted efforts to detain her.
Pearson's husband Joshua Head, 27, was called and when he arrived, he put their children in his car and then came back and assaulted security, according to the police report. That was when police were called to respond.
Head was arrested on suspicion of resisting arrest while Pearson was arrested on suspicion of child endangerment, resisting arrest and theft.
