Two men were taken to the hospital after an armored car rolled over near the intersection of Harborview Road and Northshore Terrace in Port Charlotte.
Officials we spoke with say at the time of the rollover – which was just after 12 p.m. Friday - one of the men was driving and the other was in the back of the truck.
A witness we spoke with explained two men inside the truck were in shock, but able to walk around.
Her husband described the crash.
"He hit the embankment on the other side of the street and started rolling toward my property. I counted at least three rolls and it came to an abrupt stop upside down," said Scott Drake.
Another armored truck from the Dunbar Armored came from Fort Myers to off-load whatever they were transporting.
A HAZMAT was also on scene because there was a minor fuel spill. That has since been cleared up.
FHP saying what caused the crash or how much money was on board when the truck rolled.
