Each of the suspects was taken into custody by the Broward Sheriff's Office, according to a news release issued by Boca Raton police on Friday.
The afternoon heist on Dec. 2 began when two men pretending to be customers walked into the T-Mobile store at 2301 W. Glades Rd., police said.
After brandishing handguns, the pair forced two employees and a customer into a back storage area. Two other accomplices showed up. The victims were pepper-sprayed and handcuffed, and the robbers left with cash and phones.
Clear surveillance images of four males thought to be the robbers were released to the media.
The other suspects in custody are Allen Eugene, 21, Clinton Johnson, 22, and Georges Richardson, 21.
Byrd was arrested by Broward sheriff's deputies on an unrelated warrant on Dec. 12. He confessed to the robbery and "implicated Allen Eugene as the mastermind," Boca Raton police said.
Eugene told detectives he pepper-sprayed the victims, but he refused to give the names of his accomplices, police said. Johnson allegedly admitted his role in a phone call from jail.
Byrd, Eugene and Johnson are charged with robbery with a firearm and kidnapping. Richardson is charged as a principal in the first-degree armed robbery and kidnapping.
"The investigation is ongoing, and further charges may be forthcoming," a Boca Raton police press release said.
