MEMPHIS, Tenn. May 22 2013
Crime Stoppers of Memphis and Shelby County said an extra $2,000 is being offered as well as other tip monies for information leading to the apprehension of two suspects who shot a security guard at a restaurant May 12.

Just before midnight on May 12 officers received a robbery call to China Inn Buffet #2 at 2829 Covington Pike.  During the course of the robbery, a 22-year-old male security guard was shot with a handgun.  The security guard was transported to The MED in critical condition. After treatment he was discharged.

Investigators determined two suspects approached the guard and a 48-year-old female as they were leaving the business. The suspects demanded and took an undisclosed amount of cash. Both fled on foot toward a nearby apartment complex.

The suspects responsible for this robbery and shooting are described as two African-American males, both between 5-foot-6-inches to 5-foor-9, medium build, wearing dark clothing.

You are urged to call Crime Stoppers at 901-528-CASH. You will be given a secret ID number and your identification will remain completely anonymous.
