Woodbridge VA May 16 2013 Police have arrested mall security guard Brian Ruzich, 21, of Fords in connection with Tuesday’s early morning bomb threat at Woodbridge Center Mall.
At around 6:35 a.m.  Woodbridge Mall Security contacted Woodbridge Police that they received a threat that “tiny town” will blow up on May 14, 2013. “Tiny town” is the children’s play area located on the lower level of Woodbridge Center Mall in the JcPenney/Boscov’s wing.

After an immediate investigation following the incident, Woodbridge PD traced the threat back to Ruzich, a mall security guard.

Ruzich was charged with false public alarms, terroristic threats and criminal mischief. His bail is set at $25,000 with no 10 percent, according to Woodbridge PD.

Once Woodbridge PD received the threat on Tuesday morning, the mall was evacuated of the personnel inside at the time and police secured the perimeter.

According to Police Captain Roy Hoppock, due to a quick response from Woodbridge PD, Edison PD and Union, Monmouth and Middlesex County Sheriffs, six dogs were brought to the mall and an in-depth search was conducted and came up negative.
