DETROIT MI May 11 2013 - A security guard was shot inside his vehicle outside GNB Optical on McNichols on Detroit's west side Friday morning.
EMS responded and took the victim to a nearby hospital, but he did not survive.
According to police, an altercation occurred between the victim and the suspect. Police say the suspect then fired shots into the vehicle.
The victim’s family has identified him as 65-year-old James Forth. Detroit Police are searching for the suspect.
Forth worked for Sterling Security for nearly two years, according to the company. He leaves behind a brother, nephew, and several cousins in the Metro Detroit area.
