A woman who police say was suspected of a homicide has died at a hospital from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
On April 26, police arrived in the 5700 block of Bayside Road to investigate a possible shooting. They found Andrew Bonelli, 50, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, the release said.
Officers learned about a suspect’s location and found Helen Ruth DeHarde in the 5500 block of Campus Drive with a self-inflicted gunshot wound. She and Bonelli were acquaintances, the release said.
Both were taken to a hospital, where Bonelli died, according to the release.
The case remains under investigation by the department’s homicide unit.
DeHarde, 51, of the 1300 block of Crane Crescent, died April 27 after being in critical condition since the day before, a news release said
