According to police, Healy was attempting to steal goods from Walmart on Commack when he was stopped by store security and a struggle ensued.
During the escape attempt, Healy cut and injured the hand of a security officer who attempted to stop him.
Healy was taken into custody on the felony charge and is awaiting trial.
