CLEVELAND, OH March 17 2013
The Cleveland FBI is searching for a suspect who assaulted a security guard during a bank robbery Wednesday afternoon.
Around 4:30pm the PNC Bank located at 2771 S. Moreland, Cleveland, Ohio 44120 was robbed.
The FBI says suspect is described as a black male, approximately in his early 20's, 5'5" - 5'6" in height. Witnesses describe him as wearing green or beige cargo pants, a white hooded sweatshirt and carrying a red backpack.
The suspect had a silver handgun, which he brandished during the robbery according to the FBI, and he assaulted the security guard by striking him in the face with the handgun.
Authorities said witnesses saw the suspect leaving the bank on foot.
An undisclosed amount of money was taken during the robbery.
Reward money is available for information leading to the successful identification and prosecution of the individual(s) responsible for this robbery. Information can be provided to the FBI by calling 216-522-1400, tips can remain anonymous.
PNC Bank has also offered an additional reward of up to $10,000 for information leading to the successful identification and prosecution of the individual(s) responsible for this robbery.
