ST Louis MO Feb 27 2013 A man was killed Monday night when he lost control of his tractor-trailer and it overturned on a road near Lambert-St. Louis International Airport, authorities say.
The victim is identified as Jerry D. Olson, 68, of St. Louis.
The crash was at about 9:20 p.m. Monday on Air Cargo Road, near James S. McDonnell Boulevard and just east of the airport.
Olson was driving east on Air Cargo Road when his vehicle ran off the right side of the road and overturned, just west of McDonnell Boulevard, said Trooper Juston Wheetley of the Missouri Highway Patrol.
Olson died at the scene, police say.
Olson's 1999 Mack truck was the only vehicle involved. It wasn't immediately clear why his truck left the road.
